well, the best damn thing about 3.0 ir that it can stream content, so it is possible to start watching tv series without waiting for them to completely download….
well i tried it and clicked “stream” and totally nothing happened. +for me serie downloads faster than it lasts so I can download one seriel and while watching have next one downloaded already.

with windows 7 the process doesn’t finish when you close the program. It has to be killed manually. Please correct this annoying bug
That problem is likely caused by an issue with your PC and the underlying utorrent program itself, in which case Owyn can’t fix the issue because it’s out of his hands. Furthermore, I’m running Windows 7 and do not experience this problem, so the issue in question must be the result of some other system instability or something.
I have Windows XP sp2, process doesn’t finish. But uTorrent normal finish.
Maybe the problem is uSerenity Settings? I use only “No-Upload” and “Connect tracker just Once on start to Grab peers”.
It happens to me on both XP SP3 and Vista SP2.
Reading get’s comment, I tried disabling “Connect tracker just Once on start to Grab peers” and lo and behold, it exited just fine. Here’s where it gets tricky – I reenabled it to try again and it still exits fine. I’m betting it’ll change back to not exiting the process after a reboot, but for the time being it’s a quick fix.
I disabled the option “Connect tracker just Once on start to Grab peers”
And now there is no problem.
I think I will stick with RatoMaster as it has not been discovered yet on all the trackers I have tried it on.

This version still can not return ipv6 address of the client to tracker, only return ipv4 address. But the original uTorrent is can return. Hope the new version may solve this problem, thanks.

I have a problem, I use various labels for different settings including the labels x10 and x100, if I use x10 it reports to the tracker as expected but if I use x100 it reports as if I used the label x10.
that’s because they are the ‘same’.
you could place x100 label in settings manager above x10 then it should work as you expect it to work.

It seems to be a very old problem. If you do not stop seeding torrents and then directly turn off uSerenity, start uSerenity again, although the uSerenity displays “seeding”, but the website tracker shows “downloading”. I have to put all torrents stopped, close the uSerenity, start uSerenity again, the website tracker can correctly display the status of my seeds.
doesn’t this happen with standart uTorrent?
This problem never happened in standart uTorrent, and it puzzled me for a long time when I started using uSerenity.
then we’d see the difference from log files. replace a .dll in app folder with one from debug folder and then after problem occurs see text log file in the app folder.

got your seg fault, it’s becouse stupid nnm-club is adding useless junk to tracker announces and it’s exceeds 512 symbols, i’ll expand it in next version just for stupid nnm-club, now to download without error either remove retracker.local from tracker-list of the torrent or remove &comment section from tracker url until next ‘&’ symbol.

seeder is checked “show as seeder” and “no report download”

few days ago… i start leeching one big file, 7gb from one tracker as fake “seeder” (my settings). When file become read seeder (100%), i change label from “seeder” to “x3″… And now, when i check snatchlist @ tracker, this one have download ~2gb and upload ~2.5gb… how this posible if i check “seeder” (with no download report) and later x3, when read download not exist too? I afraid that tracker moderator see this and ban me….
what you thing, where is mistake, and what is good idea to tell to moderators, if they asked me about this one (seeder with download)? what is sound good enough?

have you stopped torrent after 100% or at least waited till it reported data to tracker? if not it could just have travelled to your next announce.
uSerenity mechanism is simly, it edits data sent to tracker depending on the label, it was given input data “downloaded” and “label” and it did the job accordingly.
having ‘x3 seeder’ would be more safe. or\and you could investigate what is happening when you do stuff like you descripted (replace userenity.dll with one from debug filder and on run it will make a text file in userenity’s folder descripting every action it does).
probably it could have happened even without any cheats or tools just cuz of your internet disconnect \ computer BSOD or some other lag, probably.
no.. i no stop torrent.. i just wait until real torrent got all pieces and become 100% (real seeder) and change label “on the fly” from “fake seeder” to “x3 upload”…
anyway… give me some “good” answers, if tracker mods asked me about weird situation (seeder with download…).. BSOD sounds OK :)

This is with default profile. If I’m not wrong that means I don’t have to label torrents “Default”, right?
right. make sure you run the uSerenity (with blue icon) and not just utorrent with the green one. if you continue having troubles – try debug version and see logs.

The thing is, i bought a new laptop a few weeks ago and had been userenity on it. But I only JUST noticed that my download stats are getting counted.

you look for what it does, does it apply default label and does it apply any modifications to original announce, you could also erase all peer_id torrent_hash and other identefication data from the logfile if you wish and post it here so specialists can analyze it :)

By default – default profile means stealth downloading in Settings manager, but in uSerenity – without saved settings fail – default means – normal (do nothing).
If you haven’t changed any settings and haven’t saved it – > go to uSerenity settings manager and click “save settings” to get stealth downloading as default profile in uSerenity.

Okay. Tried that and now shows the normal and default labels, but, not changing a thing it still shuts down when I try to save. I’m running win7 64bit… only thing i can think is that I recently encrypted my hard drive, but I’ve never heard of that effecting program performance.

I would also like to suggest an addition to the 2.2.1 uSerenity that would allow it to report being a different version as 2.2.1 is being banned in a few places and is likely to continue to be worked out.

I am saying this because the tracker have a max torrent limit per time.
fakeupload won’t take any action if torrent is marked for not reporting uploaded. If you wan’t to report upload you’d better turn no reporting for uploading off.

I just want to report that the noreport things don’t work properly. Torrentleech detects exatly the bites i’m downloading and uploading! I hope this gets fixed soon. Good Luck with your work man!

Why even bother with utorrent and all their shenanigans and having to install all this other stuff when tixati is so easy and readily available.

Just because you haven’t never heard of Tixati doesn’t mean it’s not a good program. There was a time when utorrent and all the others were new and most people hadn’t heard of them yet. So I guess you prefer utorrent with their shenanigans and toolbars and trying to install crap. Well i prefer no shenanigans and no toolbars and no trying to install crap on my system. That’s why I use Tixati.
well if clicking few checkboxes during installation is too hard for you, then go ahead and find alternative like tixati :)
+ on tixati site its written they are in “desperate situation”, so they could probably stop development tomorrow or a day later. who knows.
The problem isn’t having to click check boxes, the problem is that they are there. I don’t like programs that try shady stuff, like utorrent is doing. That’s why I found and will happily stay with Tixati. Enjoy your spyware and crap with utorrent, while I will be enjoying my spyware free and hassle free Tixati. Did you ever stop to think that maybe the reason Tixati appears to be in a “desperate situation” is because they don’t sell out their users. They rely on ads and donations to get by, not on filling their software with spyware and crap.
Nobody has to install any other “stuff,” in fact, it’s a single file. You don’t have to install anything. It’s also not a “shenanigan” when they’re completely up front with the proposed install options are. Only those with limited capacities to read will have problems (ie: 2-year-olds and you). And Tixati is dead, which alone is a pretty good reason to avoid it.
Tixati is pretty far from dead. They just released a version about 2 weeks ago with decentralized sharing channels, which are a great way to share things that can’t be taken down in light of the megadownload and Kim Dotcom fiasco, and according to their forum a new version may be out within the next week. I’d call that pretty alive.
Just curious, is this confirmed to work with TL without problems? I have my FakeUpload set between 50-250kb
i’ve noticed that uSerenity isn’t working on BitGamer, is this supposed to be like that or does it really not work? all my settings are the same and work on other trackers but on BG the upload stays at 0B throughout.

You could use debug dll instead of normal one and see what is happening via logs if you’d like, uSerenity should work everywhere. Did you wait time for stats on tracker to be updated btw?
I did indeed wait a couple days for the tracker to update, nothing happened. Also the upload section in the client is not changing. It seems like if I keep restarting the client it works sometimes… very odd. I did run the debug but I am not sure how to interpret the .txt file.

If you have just one torrent file active in uSerenity the text file would show just announces for it
&uploaded=X
where X is how much uploaded bytes is reported to tracker, it should be read and took into stats for tracker for sure plus above it says which settings are used for this torrent.

hi there I really like your program, i just had a question in regards to the default setting. if i download a torrent and i want it to be just a regular download with no sorts of “modifications” or red flags, i just leave it without a label and it’s ok correct? but i am wondering what the difference between default and normal is, normal having everything unchecked.

if you leave label empty = default profile would be used
normal profile is used when you use a label called “normal”
you might want to uncheck everything in default profile and then save. (however if you never clicked “Save settings” in the settings manager – default profile would not exist for uSerenity – all would be “Normal”)

This will be useful for those who have a slow provider and sometimes blocking the connection.
( when traffic drops sharply, but the connection in uTorrent shows for another 5 minutes )

i was just banned from PTP b/c they said their tracker reported i downloaded a file before anyone else completed it. i’ve been using same settings for all other trackers without problems. can PTP notice this? i have be seeder, no report download, no report corrupt, and don’t announce completed all checked. still they were able to detect me. i thought don’t announce completed prevented this?

“be seeder” means you say to tracker you already have the file from the torrent, and that’s what they said you got banned for. being a seeder for a file which only releaser currently has is a good reason to get banned, that’s what you choosed in settings.

i see, i suppose that makes sense, so if i wanted to fakeupload a new file i would choose be leech with all of the mentioned settings? wouldn’t this also be suspicious since im uploading and it would tell them i have 0% of the file?

hm.. the problem is after i’ve waited some time no one else is leeching it, so it seems like the purpose has been defeated. if i fakeupload with no leechers, i get banned. if i set myself as seeder, i get banned, and if i set as leecher also suspicious and will probably result in ban.
i am just trying to understand what the most effective method here is

i’m having lots of problems with using the feature “if there is at least X peers connected”
sometimes if i set it to anything other than 0 (usually 1) it never does anything, sometimes it does. it seems completely random. if i keep restarting it sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t work even with 0 selected. anyone else have this problem?
I had the same problem, seems to be a bug with the program. Try the Vuze Mod and see how that one works out for you, don’t seem to have any issues with that one. Hopefully this one will get patched up a bit in the future, otherwise it is a great mod as well!

there should be a no-uplaod version of 3.0 somewhere on the internet, or the explanation how to make one for 2.0, I’m not sure. And no, “without upload” is a cheat that can be done only via patch.

there is multiply cheat speed by number of connecting speed already, see feautures speed or say what you mean by gradual

I’m using a single default profile with only the FakeUpload box ticked between 0 and 999.9 KB/s. Everytime I save it, and press load to check my settings, it changes the 999.9 to some other number like 13,5 or 40. It also doesn’t seem to be fakeuploading either. When I open up the settings manager again, the settings aren’t what I set it to. Is there any way to check whether the settings have been applied or not?
try using up & down button for setting fakeupload value after you write 999
also you could create an additional profile and switch to it and back to default to see if settings are changed. also you can go to %APPDATA%\utorrent\serenity_settings.cfg and see what numbers are written there. also you can use a debug dll whichi creates a log file of everything uSerenity does in the same folder.

First off – thanks for uSerenity. All looks to be working for me except ‘Enable Scheduler’. I’m not sure if it’s a bug with uSerenity or is it just uTorrent but when I’ve enabled scheduler, my torrents still downloads even when it’s outside of the download period.
i.e
It’s Thursday today and I’ve set full download on Friday and Saturday. All the rest are left as ‘Turn Off’ ( white boxes in scheduler ).
When i start the torrent, it starts downloading. Shouldn’t it be set to ‘Queue’ and only start downloading on Friday ?

No idea, uSerenity does nothing to scheduler, you should test it with usual uTorrent.
Hmmm… resetting each of the boxes by clicking each of the white box from red,green, light green and back to white now works. Maybe because i was previously using uTorrent 1.7.7 which had no ‘Seeding Only’ option in the scheduler. Thanks :)

you either enter password wrong or have very old archivator, try http://7zip.org

I downloaded 7zip and also asks for pass and given pass is NOT working in both of these archivators.

I have WinXP and when i run it, it won’t do uploading and program won’t shutdown. I tried in task manager to end process, but it won’t stop, it continues to work, so I can’t shut down the computer, even on shutdown it won’t stop.

you don’t open it. you just keep it in the same folder as uSerenity.exe
